Packs of robots will hunt down uncooperative humans

The latest request from the Pentagon jars the senses. At least, it did mine. They are looking for contractors to provide a “Multi-Robot Pursuit System” that will let packs of robots “search for and detect a non-cooperative human”.

According to this article, China have probably planted hardware trojans inside every computer.  Based on reports from intelligence officials.

The myth: Chinese intelligence services have concealed a microchip in every computer everywhere, programmed to "call home" if and when activated.

The reality: It may actually be true.

BitTorrent carries 53% of all P2P traffic (or ~35% of all ‘net traffic), and this paper helps explain why. Also included are data about torrent lifetime, network poisoning, response during downtime or attacks, and lots of pretty charts. This looks like a great idea – semantic analysis using opencalais, and a fold-out widget similar to zlinks for any types it recognizes in your post.

I have installed the script here; well, it recognized Nico straight away.

Server seems down at the moment (500 error, according to firebug). wq2rx must be too strong for the mechanism.

Time will tell…
